ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that provides IT service management (ITSM) and various enterprise service management solutions. It helps organizations streamline their workflows, automate tasks, and improve overall efficiency across different departments like IT, HR, finance, and customer service.

With ServiceNow, you have access to the ServiceNow catalog as well as the ServiceNow knowledge base. Both can be leveraged as data sources by our platform’s agents if you have previously created a ServiceNow connectioncredentials in the Agentic platform.

Before creating a ServiceNow credentialcredentials, you must first ensure you possess a ServiceNow instance and an account to access its content. We recommend using a service account.

Below are the steps to create a new ServiceNow credentialcredentials:

  1. Navigate to Models & credentials Administration > Credentials.

  2. Click Add credential credentials to create a new credentialcredentials;

  3. Select the ServiceNow credential typecard;

  4. Give a Next, name to your credentialyour credentials, e.g. ServiceNow service account;

  5. Type the URL of your ServiceNow instance, such as https://mycompany.service-now.com.

  6. Provide the Username to connect to this site.

  7. Provide the Password associated with the given Username.

  8. Click Create Add credentials on the top right of the page to finalize the creation.

The new connection is credentials are now available in the Credentials list. You can now use it them when creating a new ServiceNow catalog or ServiceNow KB (KB API)knowledge base data source.
