This page describes how to install Koji in Atlassian Data Center.

Installing Koji - temporary

This part is a temporary solution. Once the app is available in the Marketplace, the installation is preformed from there.

1. In your Atlassian Jira Service Management, click Projects in the upper left of the window and select a project.

2. Click Administration in the upper left of the window and select Manage apps.

3. Confirm that you are an administrator.

4. In the Administration view, click Manage apps on the left side (by default the Find new apps page might be opened).

5. Click Upload app, specify the JAR file with the app, and click Upload.

6. The installation process starts. Once it is finished, the system displays the confirmation message.

Installing Koji - Marketplace

This part is to be updated once the app is available in the Market.

1. Go to Koji page on the Atlassian Marketplace.

2. Click Try it free in the upper right of the window.

3. Select the site you want to add Koji to and click Start free trial.

Configuring Koji

Configuring Koji is simple, as there is only one parameter to set: the Kbot URL. This parameter is available in Backoffice configuration, which appears once the app is installed.

To set the proper URL:

1. Click Backoffice configuration.

2. Type the URL.

3. Click Save.

Opening Koji

To open the backoffice of Koji:

1. Open the project with Koji in your Atlassian Jira Service Management environment.

2. Click Backoffice in the menu on the left side of the window.

Koji settings

The Koji widget button is not embedded on the portal page. Thus, the following parameters in Koji settings are unavailable for the Data Center version:

  • Display the chatbot in the portal

  • Display the chatbot above the ticket options

  • No labels
