User

Users are people interacting with Kbot: asking questions, managing issues and requests, etc. They can start and stop conversations, switch languages, evaluate how useful Kbot's actions are, request to speak with an operator, etc.

Features

Kbot offers a number of various features. See the description below.

Start new conversations

Click the arrow icon in the text input field to stop the current conversation and start a new one. Previous messages will remain on the screen.

Attach files

Attach files to your records. You can attach files at any moment of the conversation when the bot is gathering information required for either logging an issue or making a request.

Clear the chat

Select this option from the menu in the upper right of the chat window to remove all the messages from the screen.

Export

You can export either a current conversation or the complete conversation history. The data is exported in the TXT format.

Open chat in separate window

Continue the communication in a new window.

Help

Open the Chat Help to view tips, useful commands, etc.

Click the Help button, and the help is opened in a new tab. Alternatively, type #help to see the tips in the chat itself.

Interact with Kbot

Kbot supports multiple communication channels, including web chat, Skype, Cisco Jabber, Microsoft Teams, etc. The channels are configured by administrators, so the channel available for you depends on your company environment.

If your organization uses the web chat instance of Kbot, all you will need to start is a URL. The chatbot supports the Open Authorization protocol (OAuth2), so it is possible to log in using your Google or Microsoft credentials. Again — it will depend on your Kbot’s specific configuration.

Microsoft Teams

You can interact with Kbot in Microsoft Teams in two ways: in the Team's tab or in the Chat.

Tab

Kbot is displayed as the web chat. Take advantage of speech-to-text technologies and other features.

  1. Click Teams on the left side of the window.

  2. Select your team.

  3. Click the tab with the solution at the top of the window.

Chat

Exchange messages the same way you communicate with your colleagues.

  1. Click More added apps on the left side of the window.

  2. Select o365.

Once you have started the conversation, you will see it in the Chat menu (the Conversation tab) as well.
