What is Kbot? 

Kbot is a virtual assistant that helps you work in O365 environment. If you have any questions about O365 products, ask Kbot. It has got access to knowledge bases with O365 information, so you do not need to use the search systems by yourself. Ask Kbot and get the answers to your question right away!


Can Kbot help me find the answers?

When you ask a question about the O365 environment, Kbot provides you with information from knowledge bases. The articles might contain instructions, screenshots, and videos. 

Click the lightning icon next to the article name to access the content quickly.



Where does Kbot search for the information? 

There are five main sources of knowledge. Kbot uses them to find the most relevant information. 

Mandarine MOOC

Online massive open online course (MOOC) and tutorials for the Office 365 community. To learn more about it, visit the Training Portal and the Mandarine Academy website.

Microsoft Support

The Office Help & Training portal, support.office.com.

Microsoft Graph

Microsoft Graph provides users with the access to both data and intelligence in Microsoft 365. To learn more about Microsoft Graph and its main features, view the Microsoft documentation.

RightAnswers

The Knowledge-Centered Support (KCS) knowledge database. For more information about RightAnswers, visit the official website.

Recommender System

The Kbot internal system that analyzes articles that have been liked by users. Based on this analysis, Kbot offers useful articles to users when appropriate, which speeds up the search for a solution. If your colleagues consider some articles useful - Kbot displays these articles in the first place.



Can Kbot create tickets? 

If you need to create a ticket, Kbot can do it for you. Type the name of the ticket, add the description, estimate the priority, etc. 

Currently this feature is present only for the demonstration purpose. To get more details about working with trouble ticketing applications, email us at support@konverso.ai.



Can Kbot book a meeting for me? 

If Kbot has access to your calendar, it can book a meeting with persons you specify. Choose participants and the proper time, and the meeting is ready to go.


What languages are supported?

Currently Kbot supports two languages: French and English. You can switch between languages during conversations.

To view the Kbot functionalities, click the hamburger button in the upper right of the chat window.


Where can I use Kbot? 

Teams tab

Click Teams on the left side of the window > select your team > click the tab with the solution at the top of the window.

One-on-one chat

Click More added apps on the left side of the window > select o365. Once you have started the conversation, you will see it in the Chat menu (the Conversation tab) as well.



Does Kbot support speech-to-text technologies? 

Yes, you can speak and Kbot will understand your request. Your virtual assistant can reply as well.

Text-to-Speech

Enable this feature (click the hamburger button in the upper right of the chat window) and your chatbot will be able to speak.

Speech-to-Text

Click the microphone icon in the lower right of the chat window to activate the Speech Recognition feature. Now you can talk to Kbot.



What permissions does Kbot request?

If you add Kbot as a website (see the Getting started page for more details), you can use one of two providers: azure or azure_with_perms. They work with different permissions:

  • Access to the data you have and given it access to
  • Sign in and read your profile
  • Sign in and read your profile
  • Have full access to your calendars
  • Read your and shared contacts
  • Read your mailbox settings

You can view the complete list of requested permissions when you log in to Kbot.
