Work in progress
ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that provides IT service management (ITSM) and various enterprise service management solutions. It helps organizations streamline their workflows, automate tasks, and improve overall efficiency across different departments like IT, HR, finance, and customer service.
With ServiceNow, you have access to the ServiceNow catalog as well as the ServiceNow knowledge base. Both can be leveraged as data sources by our platform’s agents if you have previously created a ServiceNow credential.
Adding a ServiceNow credential
Before creating a ServiceNow credential, you must first ensure you possess a ServiceNow instance and an account to access its content. We recommend using a service account.
Below are the steps to create a new ServiceNow credential:
Navigate to Models & credentials.
Click Add credential to create a new credential;
Select the ServiceNow credential type;
Give a name to your credential;
Type the URL of your ServiceNow instance, such as
https://mycompany.service-now.com
.Provide the Username to connect to this site.
Provide the Password associated with the given Username.
Click Create.
The new credential is now available in the Credentials list. You can now use it when creating a new ServiceNow catalog or ServiceNow knowledge base data source.
