What is Kbot? 

Kbot is a virtual assistant that helps you work in O365 environment. If you have any questions about O365 products, ask Kbot. It has got the access to knowledge bases with O365 information, so you do not need to use the search systems by yourself. Ask Kbot and get the answers right away.

What can Kbot do? 

Kbot provides you with information from knowledge bases.

What languages are supported?

Currently Kbot supports two languages: French and English. You can switch between languages during conversations.

To view the Kbot functionalities, click the hamburger button in the upper right of the chat window.

Where can I use Kbot? 

Kbot is integrated into Microsoft Teams. Open the Teams tab on the left side of the window, then select your team and click the O365 tab.

Does Kbot support speech-to-text technologies? 

Yes, you can speak and Kbot will understand your request. Your virtual assistant can reply as well.

Enable this feature (click the hamburger button in the upper right of the chat window) and your chatbot will be able to speak.

Click the microphone icon in the lower right of the chat window to activate the Speech Recognition feature. Now you can talk to Kbot.

Can Kbot book a meeting for me? 

If Kbot has access to your calendar, it can book a meeting with persons you specify.

 

What permissions does Kbot request? 

If you add Kbot as a website (see the Getting started page for more details), you can use one of two providers: azure or azure_with_perms. They work with different permissions:

  • Maintain access to data you have given it access to
  • Sign you in and read your profile

  • Sign you in and read your profile
  • Have full access to your calendars
  • Read your and shared contacts
  • Read your mailbox settings

You can view the complete list of requested permissions when you log in to Kbot.
