ServiceNow

ServiceNow is a cloud-based platform that provides IT service management (ITSM) and various enterprise service management solutions. It helps organizations streamline their workflows, automate tasks, and improve overall efficiency across different departments like IT, HR, finance, and customer service.

With ServiceNow, you have access to the ServiceNow catalog as well as the ServiceNow knowledge base. Both can be leveraged as data sources by our platform’s agents if you have previously created ServiceNow credentials in the Agentic platform.

Adding ServiceNow credentials

Before creating ServiceNow credentials, you must first ensure you possess a ServiceNow instance and an account to access its content.

We recommend using a service account.

Below are the steps to create new ServiceNow credentials:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Credentials & models.

  2. Click Add credentials to create new credentials;

  3. Select the ServiceNow card;

  4. Next, name your credentials, e.g. ServiceNow service account;

  5. Select who to share the credentials with. This will determine who can use your credentials in the data sources. If you want to keep these credentials private, select Only me. If you want to share them with other builders, select Builders.

  6. Type the URL of your ServiceNow instance, such as https://mycompany.service-now.com.

  7. Provide the Username to connect to your ServiceNow instance. This can be a username or an email address depending on your ServiceNow account configuration.

  8. Provide the Password associated with the given Username.

  9. Click Add credentials on the bottom right of the page to finalize the creation.
