Widget

Creating and managing widgets

We have updated the way you create a widget for your ServiceNow environment and simplified the way you enable it in ServiceNow. Overall, the procedure became faster and easier.

In case you are migrating from an old version of the widget to the new one, you might want to keep the parameters you have defined earlier. Now it is possible to do it as well.

To learn more about widget management, view this help page.

Custom button for a widget

When adding a widget to a portal page, you can use a Kbot floating button, or create a custom one. To create a custom widget button, you must hide the default Kbot widget button and create a custom ServiceNow widget with a button. Eventually, you can fine-tune the button’s position on the page and set the way it looks.

To learn how to set a custom button, view this link.

Here is a sample of a very simple button placed right beneath the search field.

This functionality is available since version 2022.02.

Icon for a widget button

We have added a new setting for selecting an icon for the widget button. The setting is available on the Properties page in your ServiceNow environment.

  • Set the icon’s URL: /image/konverso_logo.png

  • Specify an absolute path: https://yourdomain.com/images/widget_logo.png

Thus, you can quickly adjust the appearance of the button.

This functionality is available since version 2022.01.

Modifying the frequency of re-login

It is possible to change the frequency of re-logins requested by ServiceNow when users open the bot. To learn more about this setting, see the Configuring OAuth 2.0 help page.

ServiceNow settings summary

The new report for viewing the ServiceNow configuration settings is available in Development > Tools > ServiceNow utilities > Configuration overview. The settings are grouped, so you can quickly find the ones that are related to portal integration, authentication, ticket management, and so on.

Testing access

Use the Test ServiceNow access report to test whether you have access for a user account or catalog items.

Sending attachments from users to agent in AWA integration

Now users can send images or other supported attachments to agent they are connected to in Kbot. This attachment integration previously was unavailable when the Agent Workspace Live Agent integration was used.

Guided Setup

The Guided Setup was updated in accordance with the latest modifications and enhancements.
